Thursday at Glee

Today the girls spent the day prepping for our camp out/cookout tomorrow, going on the Burma Bridge, making fire and ending the day by using the fire we made to make POPCORN!  Luckily the rain held off for most of the day, and conveniently rained only while we were popping popcorn and eating it under the pavilion.  The girls really enjoyed making a GLEE 2010 banner, decorating a schedule which they will use tomorrow evening, and making a campsite sign to post outside their tent.  Everyone is really looking forward to our big night tomorrow!  Additionally the girls went on one of our most challenging high elements called the Burma Bridge which is essentially a tightrope with ropes on either side to hold onto as you walk between two very, VERY tall trees!   A handful of girls made it all the way across!  Way to go!  After a trip to the creek, girls used the tinder, kindling and heavy fuel we collected earlier to make a blazing fire which we used to pop the most delicious popcorn!  We are all ready (and hoping for nice weather) for our Hinckley fishing trip tomorrow.  Please remember for tomorrow: wear sunglasses (required for fishing), a hat (required for fishing), your bathing suit under your clothes, a towel, sunscreen, a change of clothes and a fishing pole if you have one!
