LSTI, Day One!

Today was an action packed day at LSTI!

This year's theme is ReIMAGINeD!

Our professional teaching artists are taking some of Broadway's most beloved musical numbers and reinterpreting them in unique and inspired ways!

Students spent the morning with Ms. Leighann DeLorenzo brushing up on fundamentals of acting and then spent 90 minutes of instructional time with Ms. Treva Offutt working on choreography and chanting for "The Lioness Hunt" from The Lion King.  After a focus session with DeLo to ready them for the second half of the day, students worked with Mr. Nathan Motta as he spent the afternoon on vocal instruction for all of our sung production numbers, as well as spending some time on choreography for "Shoeless Joe" from Damn Yankees. Stay tuned for more exciting updates tomorrow!

Please make sure your actor has rehearsal blacks for camp!  That is any black yoga pant, stretch pant, or capri and a black tank or T!

Head's up for Tuesday: The girls will continue to build on the fundamentals introduced today in acting class as well as begin dance instruction and text for "Cool" from West Side Story! More Damn Yankees too!
