Magic Tree House Campers and Daring Campers are Wet!

This week the theme for Magic Tree House Campers is Polar Bears Past Bedtime.  They will read chapters from this Jack and Annie adventure book each day.  Campers thought about the arctic a lot today as they made pom-pom polar bears and tried to stay cool in the heat!  We have two groups of Tree House campers this week that do many of the same activities.  A highlight, and a way to beat the heat was a trip down to the creek!  An all time favorite of our campers here at Butler campus.  Another highlight was the water balloon fun we had in the pavilion in the afternoon!

The Daring Camper Dare to be Explorers this week.  To begin the day, they explored about Butler campus to get a lay of the land.  Upon arrival back to the lodge, each camper was challenged to create his or her own map of the Butler Campus with as many details as possible.  They talked about what it meant to be an explorer and the different places you can explore.  The campers were excited to draw names and each get an explorer that he or she can learn more about at home and share with the group later.  At the end of the day, Daring Campers loved the water balloon fun!  They also enjoyed playing a game called "Dead Beaver" a quite hysterical game- ask your camper how to play!
