Amazon Butterflies and a Trip to the Pool

The Magic Tree House campers started off the day at the pool.  It was pretty hot and muggy today, so the pool was a perfect way to start the day!  Many campers enjoyed using the noodles and kickboards to splash around and swim.  It is also a favorite to jump in the pool and see who can make the biggest splash (often getting our counselors wet)!  Back at camp, we did lots of fun things like tag games, creek walking, a hike through the woods, read some chapters from our book at the tree house and a trip up to the playground.  The campers also did an Amazonian butterfly craft using coffee filters, clothespins and liquid water color paints.  They will be able to use them as clips when they dry!

Tomorrow is our field trip to the zoo, please make sure to wear your green Summer at Laurel t-shirt if you have one!  If you do not have one yet, you will get it in the morning.  Please arrive on time, our bus will leave promptly at 9:15.
