Daring Friday

Daring Campers spent the whole day outside.  To continue with looking at maps and mapping, the day began with the campers creating a HUGE map of Butler Campus using paints, makers, pipe cleaners and natural objects like sticks, leaves and grass.  It was interesting to see them work in a group and solve problems when for example some campers wanted to make the creek the entire length of the paper.  While the end product turned out more like a mural than a map it still looks incredible!  In the afternoon, they used maps of Butler campus to go on a scavenger hunt that led them straight to some delicious treasure (chocolate gold coins!).  It was a sweet ending to a great week!  They also had the chance to share the things they learned about the explorer they had been assigned at the beginning of the week!

We are looking forward to seeing returning campers on Monday and wish those not returning a great rest of the summer!!
