Dare to Invent Boats and Planes!

Our Inventor theme has really been a big hit so far!  The campers seem to really enjoy inventing things!  Today the campers worked on their board games from yesterday and also invented boats using natural materials.  Later in the day, and down at the creek, there was a grand boat race where our inventors observed the designs that worked and the ones that did not.  How could they modify their design to make it work better?  After the race, campers were challenged to each put together a glider and fly it up on the field.  What an exciting day!

Tomorrow is our field trip to the Crawford Auto and Aviation Museum and also to the William P. Mather Steamship.  Campers should wear their green Summer at Laurel t-shirt if they already have one, if not they will get one tomorrow.  See you then!

(Due to technical difficulties we do not have photographs from today-stay tuned!)
